ASTANA: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has held a telephone conversation with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, local media reported on Tuesday. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has expressed profound gratitude to Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the fraternal people of Uzbekistan for their solidarity and support amid floods that hit various regions of Kazakhstan in the current season.
The two leaders discussed further strengthening of Kazakh-Uzbek strategic ties as well as implementation of earlier achieved deals. Dynamic development of bilateral ties and cooperation at the regional level was also emphasized. The two Presidents also exchanged views on the most pressing matters at regional and international level.
