KP, Hangzhou Government Sign MoU for E-Commerce Cooperation

BEIJING: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment and Trade and Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce (Hangzhou Government), China, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for strategic collaboration and cooperation in IT and E-Commerce opportunities for investment in the KP.

The signing ceremony occurred at the China Innovation Summit, organized by CAREC. Hangzhou, a pivotal industrial city, boasts a diverse economic landscape encompassing light industry, agriculture, and textiles. As a crucial manufacturing center and logistics hub for coastal China, Hangzhou stands out as a prominent e-commerce and technology nucleus.

The MoU signed during this summit aims to boost collaboration between Chinese investors and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), particularly in establishing regional e-commerce facilities.

The agreement aimed at facilitating links between local service providers in KP and their counterparts in China, promoting collaboration and the exchange of expertise.

Beyond strengthening ties with China, this initiative is expected to attract investors from various countries, further promoting investment in the e-commerce sector. The goal is to create a platform for cross-border cooperation, opening up economic growth and innovation opportunities in the region. —APP
