KSrelief Launches Saudi Noor Volunteer Program in Yemen

HADRAMAUT: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has launched the Saudi Noor Volunteer Program to fight blindness and other diseases in the Mukalla District of Yemen’s Hadramaut Governorate, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.

The camp will take place from May 4 to 30, with the participation of eight volunteers from different medical specialties.

Since the start of the campaign, the KSrelief team has successfully performed 12 surgeries to remove glaucoma, 97 surgeries to remove cataracts, three eye-socket surgeries, and 17 other minor surgeries.

The Noor program is an extension of the volunteer medical programs of Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian wing, KSrelief, to help patients and people with eye diseases in low-income countries.
