Kyrgyzstan President to Attend World Government Summit in Dubai

BISHKEK: Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov is set to embark on a working visit to Dubai to participate in the upcoming World Government Summit, according to Muratbek Azymbakiev, head of the foreign policy department of the Presidential Administration.

The visit, scheduled for February 12-13, comes at the invitation of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The World Government Summit, themed “Shaping Future Governments” for the year 2024, will convene leaders from governments, international organizations, thought leaders, and private sector representatives worldwide.

The summit aims to foster international cooperation and facilitate discussions on innovative solutions to future challenges, empowering governments for the next generation.

Attended by heads of state and government, delegates from over 150 countries, and leaders from diverse fields, the summit will address global priorities and trends. Discussions will focus on promoting international cooperation, sharing knowledge and best practices, and finding more effective solutions to serve humanity.

President Japarov is expected to address the plenary session of the summit, highlighting Kyrgyzstan’s perspectives on global governance. Additionally, he will hold bilateral meetings with UAE leadership and representatives of Emirati companies to explore avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation.
