Mini Sweet Dahi Bhallay Recipe

ISLAMABAD: Prepare to tantalize your taste buds with our recipe for Mini Sweet Dahi Bhallay.

Ingredients:

 For Imli Chutney:

  • 2 cups Tamarind pulp
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

For Bhallay:

  • 2 cups Dal mash (soaked)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • Oil for frying (as required)
  • Water for soaking (as required)

For Yogurt Mixture:

  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Chaat masala
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

For Assembling:

  • Imli chutney (as required)
  • Prepared bhallay (as required)
  • Yogurt mixture (as required)
  • Chaat masala (as required)
  • Pomegranate (as required)

Instructions:

  1. Heat tamarind pulp, sugar, cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt in a pan until the sugar dissolves. Cook until it thickens to form a slurry. Let it cool at room temperature and set aside.
  2. Blend the dal mash in a blender until smooth. Transfer to a bowl and add baking soda and salt. Mix well.
  3. Spoon the mixture into frying oil and fry until crispy.
  4. Transfer the fried bhallay to water and soak for 10-15 minutes. Squeeze out excess water by pressing gently. Set aside.
  5. In a bowl, mix yogurt, sugar, chaat masala, and salt until well combined.
  6. In a serving dish, assemble the imli chutney, prepared bhallay, yogurt mixture, and top with chaat masala and pomegranate. Your Mini Sweet Dahi Bhallay are now ready to enjoy!
