Mobilink Bank Launches “Change to Sustain” Program

ISLAMABAD: Mobilink Bank, a pioneering force in digital financial services, has launched its sustainability program, “Change to Sustain.” This initiative marks a significant stride towards operational excellence and environmental stewardship within the banking sector. Backed by a strategic investment of PKR 2.5 billion in renewable energy financing, Mobilink Bank is set to revolutionize its operations.

As part of the “Change to Sustain” program, fifteen Mobilink Bank branches will undergo solarization, harnessing the power of solar energy to minimize carbon emissions. Additionally, the bank plans to conduct a large-scale tree plantation drive across all 109 branches nationwide, demonstrating its commitment to preserving local ecosystems and biodiversity.

The initiative is deeply rooted in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, aiming to integrate sustainability into every facet of the bank’s operations. Mobilink Bank seeks to promote green business practices, advocate for climate action, and raise awareness about pressing sustainability issues. Moreover, it aims to empower women-led climate resilience solutions and expand access to green financing and renewable energy solutions.

He highlighted the bank’s commitment to minimizing its environmental footprint, empowering unbanked individuals, and catalyzing social change.
