ISLAMABAD: Veteran politician and Senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed on Tuesday appealed to U.N Secretary-General to play a more proactive role in addressing “crimes against humanity” in Kashmir and Palestine.
Talking to a Private news channel, he highlighted the striking similarities between the Kashmir dispute and the Palestinian issue, emphasizing that both nations have been promised the right to self-determination, which is yet to be realized.
He expressed concern about the existential threat to the two nations, emphasizing that without immediate international intervention, their cultures and populations could face extinction. In response to a question regarding the Kashmir issue, he stated, “Kashmir is the vital lifeline of Pakistan, and no nation or country would accept its lifeline being under the threat of the enemy’s sword.” —APP
