Nation to Never Forget Sacrifices of APS Martyrs: President Alvi

ISLAMABAD: President of Pakistan Arif Alvi said on Friday that the tragic memory of the attack on the Army Public School still remained fresh in the hearts of the nation, and that the people of Pakistan will never forget the sacrifices of the APS martyrs.

He said in a statement on the APS tragedy’s eighth anniversary that December 16 will always remain as a reminder of the great sacrifices of the martyred children. He said the APS attackers committed extreme barbarity by targeting innocent young children. He said the APS tragedy united the nation in a decisive war against terrorism.

The president said the APS tragedy united the nation in a decisive war against terrorism. He said the entire nation was firm in finally ending the remnants of terrorism, adding that no attempt could lessen the resolve against this fight.

He prayed for the elevation of ranks of the APS martyrs. The President said the day was also a reminder to the world that terrorism was a common issue of humanity and the need to intensify efforts to eradicate it at the global level.
