RAWALPINDI: Turkish Chief of the General Staff, General Metin Gürak on Friday met with Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf and discussed matters of mutual interest, the military’s media wing said in a statement.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the meeting, bilateral issues including maritime cooperation, shipping and developments in the region came under discussion.
Earlier the distinguished guest was received by Chief of the Naval Staff upon his arrival at Naval Headquarters Islamabad.
The Turkish General appreciated the role of Pakistan Navy in ensuring maritime peace and stability in the region.
