Pak Rupee Gains 71 Paisa Against US Dollar

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan rupee recovered 71 paisa against the American dollar in interbank trading on Friday and closed at Rs281.71 compared to Rs282.42 the last trading day.

According to the FAP (Forex Association of Pakistan), the buying and selling rates of the US dollar in the kerb market were recorded at Rs282.7 and Rs285.5 respectively.

Meanwhile, the price of the Euro witnessed an increase by 13 paisa and closed at Rs300.25 compared to the last day’s ending of Rs300.12, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The Japanese Yen reduced by 1 paisa to close at Rs2.11, whereas a jump of 34 paisa was seeen in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which exchanged hands at Rs342.15 as compared to its last day’s closing of Rs341.81.

The trading rates of the Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal went down by 19 paisa each to close at Rs76.70 and at Rs74.99 respectively.
