ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Army organized a four-day initiative offering free eye surgeries in the Mohmand district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, catering to the needs of more than 1,400 patients.
According to the state-run PTV’s report, the camp, conducted in collaboration with Al Shifa Eye Trust, provided complimentary screenings, surgeries, and medication to the residents of this remote area.
During the camp, 885 men, 544 women, and 245 children underwent free eye screenings, while 754 patients were outfitted with complimentary spectacles. Moreover, over 1,100 patients received free medication.
This effort aimed to bridge the gap in access to quality eye care in the region, where people often face challenges traveling long distances for treatment.
The local community expressed profound gratitude to the Pakistan Army for orchestrating the camp, which delivered much-needed medical assistance directly to their doorstep.
This initiative reflects the Pakistan Army’s ongoing commitment to extending essential healthcare services to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, fostering health and well-being throughout the area.
