Pakistan Navy Chief Commends World Junior Squash Champion Hamza Khan

ISLAMABAD: Muhammad Hamza Khan, the World Junior Squash Champion, visited Naval Headquarters in the federal capital and met with Pakistan Navy Chief Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi on Saturday.

Hamza’s recent triumph in the World Junior (U-19) Squash Championship held in Melbourne, Australia marked a significant achievement for Pakistan. His victory secured a moment of pride for the entire nation, breaking a 36-year streak since a Pakistani squash player had achieved such a remarkable feat.

During the meeting, the Chief of the Naval Staff extended heartfelt congratulations to the young champion for clinching the title and elevating the nation’s stature. He expressed admiration for Hamza’s dedication and urged him to continue his remarkable journey in future Squash events with unwavering commitment.

In recognition of his outstanding accomplishment, the Naval Chief presented Hamza Khan with a cash prize of Rs 0.5 million and an honorary lifetime membership of the Pakistan Navy Roshan Khan Jahangir Khan Squash Complex in Karachi.

Expressing his appreciation, Hamza Khan conveyed gratitude to the Chief of the Naval Staff and the Pakistan Navy for their steadfast efforts in promoting Squash within the country. He highlighted the regular organization of the CNS Open National and International Squash Championships as a testament to the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to the sport.
