RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) and Pakistan Navy (PN) successfully retrieved the bodies of four remaining fishermen from the boat that sank last week, stated a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday.

Earlier on Monday, the ISPR statement reported the recovery of the bodies of 10 out of 14 fishermen who had been missing since the incident in the Arabian Sea last week.

“All bodies of the missing fishermen have now been recovered from the sea and handed over to the relevant authorities,” read the statement.

The incident occurred last Wednesday when the boat, named Al-Asad, capsized near Thatta, resulting in the missing of 14 fishermen. The boat, carrying approximately 45 fishermen, saw the rescue of 31 fishermen following the incident.

A search and rescue operation was initiated by PN and PMSA on March 5. Despite encountering challenging conditions such as dense marine traffic and choppy seas, the rescue team managed to recover the bodies of all 14 missing fishermen.
