Pakistan Railways’ Eid Special Trains Get Overwhelming Response

ISLAMABAD: The special trains on Eid ul Fitr introduced by Pakistan Railways received an overwhelming response from thousands of passengers who visited their loved ones in their native towns through having a comfortable traveling experience.

The travelers have expressed their gratitude to Pakistan Railways for facilitating them on Eid ul Fitr through special trains which saved their time and money, making their journeys memorable.

A large number of travelers with families were seen at the railway stations according to whom the staff at the stations was very helpful in informing them about the timing of trains, the numbers of platforms, ticketing and booking matters, APP reported.

Pakistan Railways’ Special Eid Trains

Pakistan Railways has run 4 special trains on the occasion of Eid to facilitate the travelers leaving for their native towns to celebrate the auspicious occasion with their families and loved ones.

As per the schedule issued by Pakistan Railways, the first Eid special train left Karachi to Peshawar and the other departed from Karachi Cantonment to Lahore.

The first special train left Karachi for Peshawar on April 7 at 6:00 am while the second train departed from Quetta to Rawalpindi at 10:00 am.

The third train departed from Karachi to Lahore on April 8 at 9:00 pm while the last Eid special train left from Lahore to Karachi on April 9 at 5:00 pm.

Pakistan Railways Police had also tightened security arrangements in stations and trains to avoid any untoward situation during the Eid holidays.

The department had directed all superintendents of Railways Police to deploy sufficient force at exit and entry points of all stations and strictly watch to be carried out of suspicious persons.

Pakistan Railways Police Commando Force had been stationed at vulnerable installations and in trains, while bomb disposal staff was also kept on alert for the search of luggage and passengers at railway stations.
