Pakistan, Saudi Arabia Pledge to Enhance Bilateral Collaboration Across Sectors

ISLAMABAD: Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, reiterated Pakistan’s deep-rooted and cherished ties with Saudi Arabia during a meeting with the Saudi Ambassador, Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy, at the Parliament House on Tuesday.

“Pak-Saudi relations are bound by an unbreakable bond of religion, culture, history, and mutual trust and respect,” said Ayaz Sadiq, while highlighting the robust bond between the two countries.

Sadiq emphasized the shared values of religion, culture, and history that underpin their relationship. He praised the continuous growth of bilateral cooperation across various sectors and affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further enhancing this partnership.

Sadiq underscored the significance of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, advocating for increased exchanges and collaboration among parliamentary bodies. He also extended an invitation to the Chairman of Majlis-e-Shura of Saudi Arabia to visit Pakistan.

Acknowledging Saudi Arabia’s invaluable support during challenging times, Sadiq commended the Kingdom’s contributions to Pakistan’s economic development. He welcomed Saudi investment in Pakistan, highlighting the favorable economic environment for foreign investors.

Expressing gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s support to the Pakistani Diaspora, Sadiq reaffirmed Pakistan’s profound respect and affinity for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, and the people of Saudi Arabia.

In response, Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy conveyed Saudi Arabia’s enduring commitment to its fraternal relations with Pakistan and expressed optimism for further collaboration and mutual prosperity. He assured continued support from the Saudi government for Pakistan’s sustainable development.
