Pakistan Stock Exchange Loses 27 Points to Close at 46,393.68

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) 100-index on Monday shed 27.47 points, showing a slight negative change of 0.06az%, closing at 46,393.68 points against 46,421.15 points the previous day.

A total of 195,674,788 shares valuing 5.530 billion rupees were traded during the day in contrast to 172,894,248 shares valuing 6.269 billion rupees the previous day.

As many as 326 companies transacted their shares in the stock market; 168 of them registered gains and 134 sustained losses, whereas the share price of twenty-four companies remained unchanged.

Top-three Companies at Pakistan Stock Exchange

The three high-trading companies were PIAC(A) with 29,654,500 shares at 5.38 rupees per share, Pak Elektron with 20,636,559 shares at 10.48 rupees per share, and WorldCall Telecom with 8,986,644 shares at 1.13 rupee per share.

Pak Services recorded a maximum increase of 25.00 rupees per share price, closing at 750.00 rupees, whereas the runner-up was Mehmood Textile with 24.23 rupees rise in its per share price to 518.00 rupees.

Rafhan Maize reported a maximum decrease of 177.33 rupees per share closing at 7,866.67 rupees, followed by JDW Sugar with 20.00 rupees decline to close at 330.00 rupees.
