ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office Spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, affirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to providing political, diplomatic, and moral support to the people of Kashmir until their inherent right to self-determination is realized.

In an exclusive conversation with Radio Pakistan in Islamabad today, she underscored that 76 years have elapsed since India’s illegal occupation of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir began, during which the Kashmiri populace has endured severe hardships imposed by the Indian occupying forces.

Emphatically, the Spokesperson declared that every citizen of Pakistan stands in solidarity with the just struggle of the Kashmiris to exercise their right to self-determination.

In response to inquiries regarding India’s revocation of Article 370 and the unilateral measures taken on 5 August 2019, she stressed that these actions constitute an endeavour to stifle the voices of the Kashmiri people.

Shedding light on New Delhi’s illicit actions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch pointed out that rather than granting the right to self-determination, India has incarcerated Kashmiri leaders. She further noted India’s effort to resettle non-Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir with the intent of altering the demographic balance to the detriment of the Kashmiri majority—a situation unacceptable to both the people of Kashmir and Pakistan.
