Pakistani Religious Minister Urges Youth to Help Promote Interfaith Harmony

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Caretaker Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Aneeq Ahmed on Friday asked youth to play its due role in the promotion of service to brotherhood and humanity by following the teachings of Holy Prophet Muhammad (Salalalaho Alaihee Wa Aallehi Wa Sahebehe Wassalam).

He was addressing a seminar titled “The Importance and Necessity of Promoting Inter-faith Harmony” organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Inter-Religious Harmony at the Iqra University Islamabad.

He said pursuing the values of respect, tolerance, and peace is imperative for religious and interfaith harmony.

The minister stressed the need for taking a collective and united stance to counter anti-national forces and those fostering religious divisions.

He appreciated the Religious Ministry for holding seminars and other events to spread the message of respect, tolerance, and interfaith harmony for peace in the country.

Aneeq reiterated that united as a nation, we are steadfast in resisting anti-national forces and those who propagate religious divisions.

Chairman Council of Islamic Ideology Dr Qibla Ayaz, Rehmatulil Alameen Authority Chairman Professor Dr Khursheed Nadeem, representatives from various countries and university students attended the seminar.
