Pakistan’s Security Forces Kill Seven Terrorists Attempting Infiltration from Afghanistan

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces have foiled an infiltration attempt by a group of seven terrorists from Afghanistan in the general area of Spinkai, Ghulam Khan, North Waziristan district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a press release on Wednesday.

According to ISPR, the terrorists attempt, made on 16 April 2024, was detected, surrounded, and engaged by security forces. Following an intense exchange of gunfire, all seven terrorists were killed. Moreover, a large cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was seized, ISPR stated.

Pakistan has consistently been asking the Interim Afghan Government to enhance border management efforts on their side of the border. It is imperative for the Afghan authorities to fulfill their obligations and prevent the use of Afghan territory by terrorists for carrying out attacks against Pakistan. This was emphasized in the statement.

The security forces of Pakistan remain resolute and committed to safeguarding the nation’s borders and eradicating the scourge of terrorism from the country.
