CAIRO: The State of Palestine has submitted a request to call an extraordinary session of the Arab League Council at the level of permanent representatives on Wednesday to discuss the ongoing genocide of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.

It also urged the Arab League to discuss the escalation of Israeli aggression and settler terrorism in the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem.

State of Palestine Permanent Representative to the Arab League Ambassador Muhannad Al-Aklouk in a statement said the emergency meeting will include a detailed briefing from the UN special rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories.
