PCB Unveils Match Officials for Pakistan vs New Zealand T20I Series

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the match officials for the upcoming Pakistan versus New Zealand five-match T20I series, set to commence on April 18 in Rawalpindi.

Led by Andy Pycroft, a member of the Emirates International Cricket Council (ICC) elite panel of match referees, the officials’ panel includes experienced Aleem Dar, Asif Yaqoob, Faisal Afridi, and Rashid Riaz.

The series will feature three matches in Rawalpindi, with the remaining two games scheduled for Lahore, concluding on April 27.

Earlier this week, PCB revealed the 17-member national squad for the series, featuring the return of pacer Mohammad Amir and all-rounder Imad Wasim, who recently reversed their retirements.

Furthermore, promising talents Usman Khan and Muhammad Irfan Khan will make their national team debut following impressive performances in the Pakistan Super League’s ninth edition.

Babar Azam will captain the team in the absence of regular skipper.

Meanwhile, the New Zealand team, led by Michael Bracewell, faces setbacks as Finn Allen and Adam Milne are sidelined due to injuries sustained during training.
