PSL 9: Lahore Qalandars Set 188 Runs Target for Quetta Gladiators

LAHORE: The Lahore Qalandars have set a formidable target of 188 runs for Quetta Gladiators in the fourth match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine at Qaddafi Stadium Lahore on Monday.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Lahore Qalandars managed to put up a challenging total of 187/7 in their allotted 20 overs, despite an early setback with the loss of key wicket Fakhar Zaman at just nine runs. Sahibzada Farhan emerged as the star performer for Lahore Qalandars, showcasing a brilliant display of batting prowess with a well-compiled 67 runs. His innings laid a solid foundation for Lahore Qalandars.

Contributing significantly to Lahore Qalandars’ total was Jahandad Khan, whose quick 45 runs, peppered with four sixes and three fours, proved instrumental in bolstering the team’s score. Akeal Hosein and Mohammad Hasnain starred with the ball for Quetta Gladiators, bagging two wickets each, while Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Waseem, and Abrar Ahmed contributed with a wicket apiece.

With Lahore Qalandars aiming to bounce back from their previous defeat against Islamabad United, and Quetta Gladiators seeking to build on their opening victory.
