KARACHI: Bulls maintained dominance on the trading floor on Thursday as shares surged by 800 points during intraday trade, local media reported. The KSE-100 index experienced a notable gain of 873.38 points, or 1.37%, reaching 64,576.82 at 11:43 am, up from the previous close of 63,703.44 points.

Following overnight losses, the stock market rebounded on Wednesday, driven by political clarity and robust corporate results, prompting investors to engage in selective buying at appealing price levels.

Topline Securities Ltd reported that bullish sentiment persisted throughout the session, buoyed by increasing clarity regarding the formation of the new government at the Centre.
