Qalandars or Sultans: Who Will Win PSL 8 Final Today?

LAHORE: Defending champions Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans will compete for the title at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore in the final match on the last day of PSL season 8.

Like PSL 7, the PSL 8 final will also be played between Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans for the second consecutive year. Today’s winning team will become the PSL champion for the second time.

However, Qalandars can become the first team to defend the title.

In addition to the beautiful trophy, the champion team will get huge prize money of Rs120 million, while the runners-up will get Rs40.8 million.

It may be recalled that the winning team of PSL 7 was given Rs80 million while the ruuner-up team was given Rs 30.2 million.

My wicket fell at wrong time: Babar Azam

Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam has said that his team’s bowling was not up to the mark in the match against Lahore Qalandars.

After the defeat in the second eliminator against Lahore Qalandars, Babar Azam said at a press conference that it was fun to play with Peshawar Zalmi.

He said that the performance of the team was more important than the individual. Pakistan cricket is booming. He said this time Saim Ayub and Muhammad Haris made their presence felt.

Babar Azam said that the youth are taking advantage of the opportunities which will benefit Pakistan. “My wicket fell at the wrong time. Credit should be given to Lahore Qalandars. Haris Rauf bowled well,” he said.

The Zalmi captain further said it was terrific for young players to come forward. “We got support not only in Lahore but also in Multan, Karachi and Rawalpindi, which is a good thing.”

VIP ticket for the final match?

The price of VIP ticket for the final to be held on March 18 in Lahore has been fixed at Rs7,000. The premium ticket will cost Rs 4,000 while the first class will cost Rs 2,500 and Rs1,200.

Najam Sethi will go to Dubai after PSL final

Najam Sethi, chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s management committee, will go to Dubai after the PSL final. Sethi is scheduled to attend the ICC and ACC meetings for which he will leave for Dubai on March 19.

The International Cricket Council is scheduled to meet in Dubai from March 18-20, while the Asian Cricket Council executive will meet on March 21.

At the ICC meetings, Pakistan will give a detailed briefing about the Champions Trophy, while at the ACC meeting, Pakistan will take a tough stance regarding hosting the Asia Cup. The meeting is considered very important regarding hosting the Asia Cup.
