Recipe for Green Kabab; Iftar Special

ISLAMABAD: Add some zest to your Iftar spread with these irresistible Green Kababs. Learn how to make delicious green Kababs for your Ramadan Iftar.

Ingredients Kabab Mixture

Ingredients:

1 cup chopped Capsicum

1 cup chopped Cabbage

1 cup chopped Green Coriander

1 cup boiled Peas

2 tbsp chopped Green Chilies

1 tbsp Soy Sauce

2 tbsp Chilli Sauce

1 tbsp Black Pepper

1 tbsp Red Chilli Flakes

1 tsp Salt

Flour Batter Ingredients:

1 cup All-purpose Flour

1 tsp Red Chili Powder

1 tsp Salt Water (as needed)

Preparation Ingredients:

Kabab mixture (as needed)

Flour batter (as needed)

Bread crumbs (as needed)

Oil (for frying, as needed)

Instructions:

  1. Combine capsicum, cabbage, green coriander, peas, mashed potatoes, green chillies, soy sauce, chilli sauce, black pepper, red chilli flakes, and salt in a bowl. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Shape the mixture into vertical kababs and set them aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, red chilli powder, salt, and water until you achieve a runny consistency for coating. Set aside.
  4. Dip the prepared kababs into the flour batter, then coat them with bread crumbs. Shallow fry them until they turn golden brown.
  5. Your Green Kababs are now ready to be served and savoured.
