ISLAMABAD: Pakistani rupee weakened by 52 paisas against the US Dollar in the interbank trading on Thursday as it closed at 283.91 rupees against the previous day’s closing of 283.39 rupees.
Forex Association of Pakistan said that the buying and selling rates of the greenback in the open market were recorded at 288 rupees and 290.3 rupees, respectively.
Rupee against other currencies
The price of the Euro increased by 1.36 rupees to close at 313.60 rupees against the last day’s closing of 312.24 rupees, according to the State Bank of Pakistan.
The Japanese currency Yen remained unchanged to close at 2.12 rupees, whereas a rise of 94 paisas was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which traded at 353.84 rupees as compared to its last day’s closing of 352.90 rupees.
The exchange rate of the Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal surged by 15 paisas each to close at 77.31 rupees and 75.69 rupees, respectively. –APP
