WEST INDIES: In a landmark move, a West Indies ‘A’ team, packed with T20 specialists, is set to tour Nepal by the end of April for an exciting five-match T20 series.

Led by Roston Chase, the squad features seasoned players like Fabian Allen, Johnson Charles, Andre Fletcher, and Hayden Walsh. This tour holds significant importance as it allows both teams to gear up for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. With key players engaged in the Indian Premier League, this presents a prime opportunity for others to showcase their talent.

Coach Daren Sammy sees this tour as pivotal in defining roles and assessing the team’s depth, especially with nine players in the IPL. Chase, despite not being a regular in T20Is, impressed recently against Australia, earning praise for his commitment and leadership.

The West Indies ‘A’ squad boasts a blend of experience and emerging talent under the guidance of coach Floyd Reifer and his assistant Rayon Griffith. As they prepare for the T20 World Cup, West Indies anticipates a promising journey ahead in Group C, starting their campaign against Papua New Guinea on June 2 in Providence.
