‘Saudi Arabia Committed to Restoring Peace in Sudan’

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has reiterated its commitment to continue its efforts until stability is restored in Sudan, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Earlier, Sudan’s warring sides agreed at Saudi-US brokered talks in Jeddah to allow humanitarian assistance to the war-hit country and keep channels open for opportunities to find a permanent solution to the war raging for over a month.

The Saudi cabinet reviewed the outcomes of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group annual meetings held in Jeddah.

It highlighted the Kingdom’s contribution to launching many regional and international initiatives to support economic recovery and facing development challenges.

Ministers praised the achievements of anti-narcotic initiatives which have thwarted smuggling attempts by criminal networks in recent weeks.

Separately, the government approved the application of health insurance for domestic workers exceeding four persons following rules to be set by a committee formed under the chairmanship of the Council of Health Insurance.
