Saudi Arabia to Distribute Dates, Hold Iftars in Bosnia, Herzegovina During Ramadan

SARAJEVO:  Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has launched the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ gift programs for distributing dates and holding Iftars during Ramadan in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.

The program was inaugurated at a ceremony attended by Saudi Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Osama Al-Ahmadi, Bosnian Grand Mufti Husein Kavazović and several other officials.

More than 30,000 individuals will be benefited from the programs while some ten tons of dates will also be distributed.

Al-Ahmadi on this occasion, said that the gift shows Saudi Arabia’s commitment to serving Islam and Muslims across the world. Husein Kavazović lauded Saudi Arabia’s continuous support to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the holy month of Ramadan this year, the Islamic affairs ministry will implement the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ gift program in 93 countries, and hold Iftars in 60 countries.
