Saudi Arabia’s KSrelief Distributes Food to Vulnerable Communities Worldwide

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s aid agency, KSrelief, has provided food assistance to thousands of people worldwide, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Saturday.

In Indonesia’s West Java province, KSrelief distributed 1,079 food baskets, benefiting 4,620 people as part of its Ramadan food basket distribution program in collaboration with the National Board of Zakat of Indonesia. The initiative aims to distribute 7,965 food baskets in West Java, East Jakarta, and other regions.

In South Africa’s Mogale city, KSrelief distributed 400 food baskets to the most vulnerable families as part of its Ramadan food basket project, Etaam.

Similarly, in Montenegro’s Rozaje town, KSrelief distributed 100 food baskets, benefiting 500 people from the vulnerable groups. The project targets distributing 8,700 food baskets in Montenegro during Ramadan.

In Albania’s Shkoder city, KSrelief provided 450 food baskets to the neediest families, benefiting 2,250 people, with plans to distribute 5,300 food baskets across 35 Albanian governorates.

In Bangladesh, KSrelief distributed 500 food baskets to needy families in Khairash, Sat Mahor, and Pabna, benefiting 2,500 people.

Since 2015, KSrelief has implemented over 2,670 projects worth more than $6.5 billion in 95 countries, in collaboration with 175 local, regional, and international partners. 

The majority of the aid has been directed towards Yemen, Syria, Palestine, and Somalia, covering various sectors such as food security, health, shelter, education, and logistics.
