Saudi Minister of Defense Meets with UN Special Envoy for Yemen

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz has met with Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General for Yemen Hans Grundberg in Riyadh, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.

According to the SPA the meeting reviewed Saudi Arabia’s efforts to support peace and the road map between the Yemeni parties to reach an inclusive political solution to end the Yemeni crisis.

The efforts are being carried out under the supervision of the United Nations to ensure comprehensive peace and sustainability.

Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed bin Saeed Al Jaber and the Director-General of the Office of the Minister of Defense Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif were also present on the occasion.

Special Assistant to the UN Special Envoy for Yemen Linnea Hincks, Chief of Political Affairs in the Office of the UN Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen Roxaneh Bazergan, and Advisor to the UN Special Envoy to Yemen April Alley also attended the meeting.
