Saudi Shura Council Speaker Meets with President of Jordanian Senate

RIYADH: The Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh has held a meeting with the President of the Senate of Jordan, Faisal Al-Fayez, as part of his official visit, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.

The objective of the meeting was to boost the strong ties between the two countries.

Dr. Al Al-Sheikh underscored the historical ties and close bonds between Saudi Arabia and Jordan, highlighting their cooperation in various areas. He also lauded the role of parliamentary friendship committees in further enhancing these bilateral ties.

The Shura Speaker highlighted the amazing development and economic growth of Saudi Arabia, under the Custodian of the two holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.

President Al-Fayez welcomed Dr. Al Al-Sheikh and his delegation in Jordan emphasizing the deep historical links between the two countries. He expressed Jordan’s appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s ongoing support to the country.

The two leaders discussed opportunities for enhanced cooperation between the Shura Council and the Senate of Jordan along with other matters of common interest.
