Sultan of Brunei Darussalam Arrives in KSA to Perform Umrah

RIYADH: Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam has arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to perform Umrah, Arab media reported on Sunday.

The sultan Brunei Darussalam was received by Deputy Governor of Makkah Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz at King Abdulaziz International Airport. On the occasion, the Kingdom Minister of Commerce, KSA envoy to Brunei Darussalam and top officials were also present at the airport.

KSA-Brunei Darussalam ties

The KSA and Brunei enjoy close and strong brotherly relations. In February, Saudi Minister for Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan also held talks with senior minister of Brunei’s foreign ministry, in Riyadh. They discussed the strong relations between the two sides and ways to further enhance cooperation in all fields.

The two sides also exchanged views in order to setup a coordinated approach toward global and regional issues of common interest.

The two countries also looked at the opportunities in order to enhance partnership as per Saudi Vision 2030.
