ISLAMABAD: Former Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Kashmir chapter Abdul Rashid Turabi on Monday emphasized the need for global intervention against India’s oppressive actions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

In a special message regarding Kashmir Solidarity Day on state television, Turabi said that the whole Pakistani nation stood firmly with the Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their struggle for the right to self-determination.

He said that this solidarity serves as a powerful message that Kashmiris are not alone in their struggle for independence.

Turabi expressed determination against India’s attempts to change the religious and demographic fabric of IIOJK.

He asserted that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s illegal efforts to convert IIOJK into a Hindu state would not succeed.

He stressed the urgency of international intervention to address human rights violations and protect the rights of the Kashmiris.

The former Amir said that Modi’s agenda was not only against Kashmir but also posed a threat to India’s Muslims and minorities.

Turabi Pleads World Powers to Take Notice of Kashmir Situation

Turabi pleaded with world powers to take notice of the situation in IIOJK and the discriminatory policies pursued by the Indian government.
