GAZA:  Israeli troops have killed at least fifteen more people including women and children in fresh strikes on Rafah, Khan Younis, and Nuseirat refugee camp.

According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, at least 8 people including women and children have been killed in two Israeli attacks in the Nuseirat camp in Gaza. It reported that a baby girl was also among four people killed in Nuseirat camp. The Wafa maintained that four people were killed and about 30 were wounded in an Israeli bombing of another house in the area. Arab media reported that four people, including two kids have been killed in an Israeli attack in Rafah.

The latest development took place as Hamas said it had received Israel’s response to its latest ceasefire proposal and will study it before submitting its reply over the matter, Hamas’s deputy Gaza head said in a statement.

Meanwhile, a senior official with the UN Mine Action Service said that there are about 37 million tonnes of wreckage to clear away in Gaza once the Israeli brutal offensive is over. UNMAS’ Pehr Lodhammar stated that unexploded ordnance buried in the debris can complicate the work. Lodhammar stated that it is not possible to say how much of the ammunition fired in the Gaza Strip remained live. He told the media persons in Geneva that typically there is a failure rate of 10 percent of land service ammunition.

He further said that starting from a hypothetical number of 100 trucks would take around 14 years to clear away.

The health ministry in Gaza said that more than 34,356 people have been killed due to brutal strikes of Israel during last six months. The ministry said that more than 77,368 people have been injured in Gaza since October 7.
