SYDNEY: At least five people have been killed and several others wounded when a knife-wielding attacker stormed through a busy shopping center in Sydney, Australia on Saturday, local authorities said. Several people were stabbed by the unknown assailant, who was shot dead by a police at the site.
The incident took place at a shopping center on Saturday, police said. New South Wales police assistant commissioner Anthony Cooke said that there were five victims who are now died as a result of the attack. The police officials said that the motive was not clear now. Cooke stated that they are making efforts to identify the attacker and the matter.
