‘American Idol’ Star Mandisa Found Dead, Probs Underway

TENNESSEE: ‘American Idol’ star Mandisa Lynn Hundley was recovered deceased in her Tennessee residence, local media reported on Saturday.

Police officials said that probs are underway to ascertain the cause of her death. She was 47 at the time of her untimely death.  The news of Mandisa’s death has stirred shock among music lovers and her fans. Her manager also confirmed the news of her sad demise.

She rose to prominence via her participation in the famous singing contest “American Idol” in 2005, where Mandisa reached the final 9 contestants before exiting the music show.

Her debut music album “True Beauty” collected the top spot on the “Top Christian Albums” chart. It would go on to debut on the “Billboard 200” as well at number 43.

Similarly, her debut single “Only the World” released in 2007 and also obtained significant success. It has reached the 2nd position on the “Billboard Hot Singles Sales” chart.
