Ingredients:
Green Chutney:
1 cup chopped Green Coriander
1/2 cup Mint Leaves
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
1 tbsp Lemon Juice
1/2 tsp Salt
4 Ginger Pods
3 Garlic Cloves
4-5 Green Chillies
1 ½ tsp Chaat Masala
For the Samosa Filling:
4 tbsp Oil
1/2 cup chopped Onion
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
1 tsp Red Chilli Flakes
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Coriander Powder
2 cups boiled & grated Potatoes
1 tsp Salt (or to taste)
1 tbsp chopped Green Chillies
2 tbsp chopped Green Coriander
For Assembling:
Bread Slices, as required
Potato Filling, as required
Green Chutney, as required
Water, as required
Beaten Eggs, as required
Bread Crumbs, as required
Oil (for frying)
Instructions:
Prepare the Green Chutney by blending mint leaves, coriander, cumin seeds, lemon juice, salt, ginger, garlic, green chillies, and chaat masala into a smooth paste. And then set aside.
For the Samosa Filling, heat oil in a pan and sauté onions until translucent. Add cumin seeds and cook for two minutes.
Add red chilli flakes, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and coriander powder. Cook for an additional 2 minutes. Mix in mashed potatoes, salt, chopped coriander, and green chillies. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Set aside.
Take a slice of bread and cut it into a round shape. Flatten it using a rolling pin. Divide the flattened bread slice into two equal parts, shaping each into a cone. Fill the cone with samosa filling and green chutney. Brush water on the edges of the bread cone and press to seal them. Fry the samosas for 4-5 minutes or until they turn golden brown. Your Bread Chutney Samosas are now ready to be served. Enjoy them with ketchup or your preferred dip.
