RAWALPINDI: In a disturbing development for cricket lovers and fans, who are making preparations for the upcoming series between New Zealand and Pakistan, the T20I matches are at risk of being affected owing to the rain forecast in Rawalpindi where the matches to be held.

The impending weather prediction casts doubts on Pakistan’s practice session scheduled for Tuesday and raises concerns about the fate of three matches planned for April 18, 20, and 21 in Rawalpindi, with the remaining two matches relocated to Lahore on April 25 and 27.

This weather irregularity coincides with recent heavy rainfall experienced across Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh, disrupting normalcy in various regions. The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s forecast of rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms across multiple regions on April 18 and 20 adds to the apprehension surrounding the series, highlighting the unpredictable nature of weather patterns in the region.
