CASS Holds Two-day Seminar on Global Strategic Threat and Response

ISLAMABAD:  Islamabad-based thinktank, Centre for Aerospace & Security Studies (CASS) will be holding a two-day flagship International Seminar titled ‘Global Strategic Threat and Response (GSTAR)’ commencing from 19th October.

The theme of the seminar is ‘Evolving Global Order: Challenges and Opportunities’ at Air Headquarters, Islamabad. The biennial GSTAR is a unique international forum, initiated by CASS to review the most significant global strategic trends and challenges.

The event will feature international scholars and practitioners from Canada, China, Germany, Latvia, New Zealand, the United States and the United Kingdom.

In addition to the inaugural and closing plenaries, the seminar will have four thematic sessions on International Security Environment: Emerging Challenges & Opportunities, Geo-economics: Driver of the Asian Century, Emerging Technologies and Future Warfare, Aerospace Security: Determinants and Future Prospects.

The event is purported to highlight the significance of technological advancement, global strategic threats, and response management in the wake of future aerial warfare.

The Centre for Aerospace & Security Studies (CASS) was established in 2018 to inform policymakers and the public about issues related to aerospace and security from an independent, non-partisan and future-centric analytical lens. The Centre produces evidence-based research on airpower, defense and comprehensive security.
