LONDON: Zak Crawley emphasized that despite England’s recent 4-1 Test series loss in India, they are not inclined towards adopting a “negative” approach.

However, he acknowledged the importance of “selecting the right moments” to handle pressure effectively. England experienced defeat in their first series under the red-ball leadership of captain Ben Stokes and coach Brendon McCullum.

The series loss prompted discussions about the effectiveness of England’s aggressive ‘Bazball’ style, with suggestions that they may need to refine their approach. Crawley, the 26-year-old opening batsman, stressed the need to balance absorbing pressure with maintaining their aggressive play.

While stating they won’t become more negative, he emphasized the importance of identifying moments to absorb pressure when necessary. Despite England’s recent struggles, Crawley remains optimistic about their approach and highlighted the need for refinement.
