ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja and GSMA country lead for Digital Transformation Saira Faisal on Thursday discussed matters pertinent to digital transformation, startup ecosystem, and innovation.
During the meeting, Saira Faisal extended felicitations to Shaza Fatima for assuming charge of the Ministry, according to a press release.
Saira Faisal provided an overview of GSMA’s operations, upcoming programs, and their coordination with the Ministry of IT to Shaza Fatima.
Shaza Fatima highlights digitalization efforts
On her part, Shaza Fatima underlined the ongoing digitalization efforts in the country and said that digital transformation is crucial for the progress of Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the Group Vice President of E-commerce Gateway Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd Umair Nizam, also called on Shaza Fatima.
During the meeting, Nizam briefed her about the upcoming tech event, the 24th ITCN Asia 2024.
