She believes in the power of inspiring young girls to pursue cricket and is excited about the partnership between Metro Bank and the ECB to launch the Metro Bank Girls in Cricket Fund.
This initiative aims to triple the number of girls’ teams at clubs by 2026. Bell emphasizes the importance of female coaches in encouraging girls to participate in cricket, highlighting the need for a more inclusive environment in the sport. She shares her own experience of growing up playing cricket with boys but encourages girls to join girls’ teams for a more comfortable experience.
