Hot, Dry Weather with Chances of Isolated Dust Storm, Rain in Most KP

PESHAWAR: The Provincial Meteorological Center Peshawar predicted dry and hot weather on Monday in most districts of the province, however, partly cloudy weather is likely during the evening and night hours.

It said that thunderstorm with rain and isolated wind-dust storm is likely to occur over Mansehra, Abbottabad, Battagram Torghar, Haripur, Shangla, Kohistan, Lower & Upper Dir, Chirtal, Bunner, Swat, Bajaur, Malakand, Mardan, Mohmand, Charsadda, Swabi, Peshawar, Nowshera, Khyber, Kohar, Karak, Hangu, Kurram districts, and Orakzai in the afternoon hour.

In the last 24 hours, the weather remained partly cloudy and hot over most districts of the province. However, rain and thunderstorm occurred at isolated places over the division of Malakand.

The rain recorded in Timergara is 13 mm, 04 mm in Mirkhani, 03 mm in Chitral and Drosh, and 01 mm in Upper Dir.

The maximum and minimum recorded temperatures in centigrade at different stations of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were Timergara 37/22, Dir 33/18, Peshawar City 37/25, Mirkhani 38/17, Chitral 36/16, Drosh  36/18, Malam Jabba 23/15, Saidu Sharif 35/18, Kalam 27/09, Pattan 37/26, Takht Bhai 36/24, Balakot 35/22, Bannu 36/23, Cherat 31/18, Kakul 30/17, Parachinar 28/14, D.I. Khan 38/24.

The highest temperature recorded in the province was 38°C each in Mirkhani and Dera Ismail Khan.
