RAMALLAH: Israeli soldiers killed two Palestinians in occupied West Bank on Saturday.

The occupied forces said that they killed two Palestinians after they opened fire on them from a vehicle near an outpost close to the contentious Palestinian city of Jenin.

According to the official Palestinian news agency Wafa, security officials verified the deaths of two persons, while the health ministry said that two others were injured.

There has been no immediate response from Palestinian authorities in the West Bank.

The region has seen escalating violence, particularly as Israel continues its campaign against the Palestinians in Gaza, West Bank and Ramallah.

Over 34,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed, with much of the population forced to flee their homes as result of Israeli forces military offensive in response to an attack by Hamas on southern Israel on October 7 last year.
