ISLAMABAD: If you are looking for a flavorful iftar snack then try this homemade Keema Kachori as a perfect snack for iftar.

Ingredients Dough Ingredients:

3 cups of all-purpose flour

1 tsp of salt

1/4 cup of ghee

Water, as required

Flour Batter Ingredients:

1 cup of all-purpose flour

1 cup of oil

Keema Filling Ingredients:

1 tbsp of cumin seeds

1 cup of sliced onion

500 g of chicken mince

1 tsp of red chilli powder

1 tsp of coriander powder

1 tsp of salt

1 tsp of cumin powder

1/2 tsp of turmeric powder

1/2 cup of yogurt

Keema Kachori Ingredients:

Prepared dough

Prepared flour batter

Prepared keema filling

Oil for frying, as needed

All-purpose flour for sprinkling

Instructions:

Combine all-purpose flour, salt, and ghee in a bowl. Mix well and gradually add water to form a smooth dough. Cover with a cloth and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.

In another bowl, mix all-purpose flour and oil. Set aside.

Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, and sauté for a minute. Add chicken mince and cook until it changes colour. Add sliced onion and cook until softened.

Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt, cumin powder, and turmeric powder. Cook until the mince is fully cooked. Add yogurt and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. Set aside.

Divide the prepared dough into 4 equal parts.

Roll out each part into a flat circle using a rolling pin.

Brush the prepared flour batter onto the rolled dough and roll it into a long tube shape.

Cut the rolled dough into 7 equal parts. Flatten each part with your hands, place a portion of keema filling on it, and seal the edges to enclose the filling.

Deep fry the filled dough portions until they are crispy and golden brown.

Sprinkle with all-purpose flour before serving. Your Keema Kachori is ready to be enjoyed!
