PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Adviser on Social Welfare, Special Education, and Women Empowerment, Mashal Yousafzai, has hailed the deep-rooted bond between Pakistan and China as a source of immense pride.
During her visit to China Window in Peshawar, she underscored China’s support to Pakistan, particularly during challenging times, citing the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a prime example of this enduring friendship.
She commended the Chinese Embassy for providing the people of Peshawar with an invaluable opportunity to experience Chinese culture in China Window.
During her visit, Mashal Yousafzai explored its various galleries, shared her thoughts in the visitor’s book, and left her signature on the friendship wall.
She praised the CPEC as a testament to the robust ties between the two nations, celebrating the $29 billion already invested and anticipating further investments in the project’s next phase.
Yousafzai also lauded China’s successful endeavors in alleviating poverty, even amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting it as a valuable lesson for Pakistan.
Yousafzai expressed confidence in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s commitment to emulating China’s example in advancing social welfare and economic prosperity.
She welcomed the Chinese government’s initiatives to offer higher education opportunities and scholarships to Pakistani students, expressing optimism for continued collaboration in social welfare endeavors.
Yousafzai pledged the full support of the Social Welfare Department to China Window, acknowledging its pivotal role in nurturing friendship between the people of Peshawar and China.
