Loaded Pakora Fries Recipe for Iftar

ISLAMABAD: Pakora fries are a delicious twist on the traditional pakoras, perfect for iftar or any occasion. Here’s a recipe to make loaded pakora fries:

Ingredients

  • 4 Potatoes
  • 1 & 1/2 cups Gram flour
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 cup Spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup Onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Red chilli flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Crushed coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon Crushed cumin
  • Water, as required
  • 4-5 Green chillies, finely chopped

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, combine gram flour, salt, baking soda, chilli flakes, turmeric, red chilli powder, crushed coriander, and crushed cumin. Mix well.
  2. Next add water to the mixture to form a thick batter.
  3. Add chopped spinach, onion, green chillies, and coriander to the batter. Mix thoroughly, adding more water to achieve the desired consistency.
  4. Heat oil in a pan. Dip the potato slices in the batter and fry them until they turn golden brown.
  5. Arrange the fried pakora fries on a serving platter.
