ISLAMABAD: Pakora fries are a delicious twist on the traditional pakoras, perfect for iftar or any occasion. Here’s a recipe to make loaded pakora fries:
Ingredients
- 4 Potatoes
- 1 & 1/2 cups Gram flour
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1 cup Spinach, chopped
- 1 cup Onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup Coriander leaves, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Red chilli flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric
- 1 teaspoon Crushed coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon Crushed cumin
- Water, as required
- 4-5 Green chillies, finely chopped
Directions:
- In a bowl, combine gram flour, salt, baking soda, chilli flakes, turmeric, red chilli powder, crushed coriander, and crushed cumin. Mix well.
- Next add water to the mixture to form a thick batter.
- Add chopped spinach, onion, green chillies, and coriander to the batter. Mix thoroughly, adding more water to achieve the desired consistency.
- Heat oil in a pan. Dip the potato slices in the batter and fry them until they turn golden brown.
- Arrange the fried pakora fries on a serving platter.
