Met Office Predicts Rain, Windstorm in Northern Parts of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Rain-windstorms accompanied by thunderstorms are expected in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, south Punjab, and upper Sindh within the next twelve hours.

Conversely, partly cloudy conditions with sporadic rain-windstorms and thunderstorms are likely in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and neighboring mountainous regions.

This morning’s temperature readings for major cities stand as follows: Islamabad at seventeen degrees Celsius, Lahore at twenty-two, Karachi at twenty-seven, Peshawar at nineteen, Quetta at sixteen, Gilgit and Murree at twelve, and Muzaffarabad at fourteen degrees Celsius.

In the forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula are likely to experience partly cloudy weather with potential rain, wind, and thunderstorms. Jammu, is likely to remain partly cloudy and dry. Recorded temperatures this morning indicate Srinagar at ten degrees Celsius, Jammu at twenty, Leh at minus-one, Pulwama and Anantnag at nine, Shopian at eight, and Baramula at eleven degrees Celsius.
