Pakistani Expatriates Save Hundreds of Lives During UAE Flood

ISLAMABAD: In a remarkable display of courage and selflessness, Pakistani expatriates have emerged as heroes in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after rescuing over 200 people during a rain flood on April 16, 2024.

Led by Affan Tanveer and his friends, these brave Pakistanis went above and beyond to ensure the safety of people, rescuing more than 800 vehicles stranded in the floodwaters. Despite the dangerous conditions, they fearlessly ventured out to aid those in need on the streets and roads, including labour buses and trucks, demonstrating unwavering determination and compassion.

Emirati citizens expressed profound gratitude and admiration for the heroic efforts of Pakistani expatriates. The Pakistani expatriates’ remarkable display of courage and resilience amidst the chaos of the flood has left a lasting impression on the community, embodying the spirit of solidarity and compassion in times of adversity.
